A studio built around one hospital's work-hour spreadsheet.
Haicare started in 2023 in Medan, Indonesia, when a hospital needed something better than paper attendance sheets. It has stayed narrowly focused on healthcare software ever since, and that focus is the whole point of the studio.

From one dashboard to a healthcare studio.
None of this started with a plan to specialize. It started with a hospital that needed one system fixed. Here is how a general freelance practice became a studio that only builds for healthcare.
- 2023
A freelance practice, one laptop
Aden Kesuma starts building websites and small applications independently in Medan, taking on whatever project comes in: school profiles, an insurance agency site, an early e-commerce store.
- 2023
The project that set the direction
Royal Prima Hospital asks for a way to replace paper work-hour reporting with something real. The result is a dashboard supervisors and management actually use, and the first sign that hospitals need more attention than they were getting.
- 2024
Committing to healthcare
PDSKKI, one of Indonesia's primary care associations, becomes a client. Studio projects like Medcore, HAMS, and Vesper follow: self-directed builds that sharpen the studio's understanding of hospital operations, EMR, and clinical workflow before that expertise ever reaches a paying client.
- Now
A studio, not a freelancer
Twenty-two products shipped across hospitals, clinics, and medical organizations: nine of them commissioned by a named client, the rest studio projects. New work outside healthcare is no longer taken on.
Aden Kesuma
Founder & Lead Engineer
“Healthcare software fails quietly. I would rather find the failure in a prototype than in a ward.”
Aden Kesuma founded Haicare in 2023 after building a work-hour tracking system for a hospital in Medan and noticing how much of the software running inside Indonesian healthcare facilities was still held together with spreadsheets and paper forms.
He leads product and engineering personally on every project, from the first workflow interview to the code that ships, and brings in trusted collaborators for specific pieces of a build when the scope calls for it. That is a deliberate choice: healthcare software has almost no room for a misunderstood requirement, and staying close to the work is the fastest way to avoid one.
Outside of client work, he builds studio projects like Medcore and Vesper to test ideas before they ever reach a hospital's production systems, and to keep the studio's instincts about clinical workflow sharp between projects.
Four kinds of software, one industry.
Haicare does not build general business software with a healthcare case study bolted on. Every engagement falls into one of four areas, all of it inside hospitals, clinics, and medical organizations.
Hospital & clinic operations
Bed management, staff scheduling, attendance, and the daily operational load of running a facility.
Electronic medical records
Structured clinical documentation built for speed at the point of care.
Patient-facing apps
Booking, monitoring, telemedicine, and tools people use to manage their own health.
Medical organizations
Membership, CME credits, conferences, and the administrative backbone of a professional body.
Direct communication
You talk to the person writing the code, not an account manager relaying messages back and forth.
Built to last
Software chosen for maintainability over novelty, so it is still easy to work with years after launch.
Confidentiality by default
Client systems and the data inside them stay private. That is a default, not a favor.
